Meanwhile, pro-democracy, pro-Europe protesters in Tbilisi, Georgia, are tonight nearing their 700th consecutive day of protest against the pro-Russian government. They haven't missed a single day in the last 23 months.

I sincerely hope today has been a reminder to some that good things CAN and DO still happen, fam! 9 more days and it's our turn! 😎

With the election looming, the GOP is calling in the big guns. Which means having a megachurch freak named Timmy dispatch an army of walleyed 23yo home-school casualties with YouTube diction to opposing candidates' rallies, where they will demand those candidates reject and denounce the WNBA.

America's stupidest boomers are rising up.

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

“i pay tax before, but still pay tax now?” We spoke with dozens of half-literate morons about the machinations of local governance. Here’s what they’re saying.

Troy Jackson: "Sen. Collins says that she voted against it 9 times, but she didn't have the votes. Well, that sounds like then we probably ought to have Democrats in charge of the Senate so we have the votes to stop this war and hold Donald Trump in check. It sounds like Republicans won't do that."

Yes, yes, a disgusting sentiment and fully representative of his depraved cohort's worldview, they have too much power and too much money and we can't go on like this, etc. More than that we just need to build a society where we never see a pic of a guy that looks like this again on a news story.

the blood and soil guys are right to some extent. your heritage and birthright are being forcibly threatened by violent thugs. and that heritage and birthright is called a secular multicultural democracy with vague pretensions towards egalitarianism and lawful order

The American Dream is amazing: within just a few years you can go from being the child of Cuban immigrants to the great-grandson of Spanish settlers.

Funny how Marco Rubio tries to differentiate himself from all the other children of recent immigrants who are now getting removed from the country by the master he now serves. Rubio, you see, is a descendent of *the West*

there's something so deranged about the idea that a "high trust" society is one that can decide to arbitrarily exclude you on the basis of identity

ddza110.bsky.social reposted

the funniest thing about the "we don't trust the media" people is that they will trust literally anyone else. like, if you have an image and text, they'll buy it. shaking keys at babies type logic.

I don’t trust the mainstream media, but I feel like the primary alternate model, getting the news from the posts of a 14 year-old Romanian schizophrenic shitposter named “G00n3R the Swamp Pervert,” is not necessarily a superior alternative.

one talking point the Admin likes now is “decline is a choice” i think—with parts of DC in ruin, an unending war, eye-watering inflation, unprecedented corruption, dwindling confidence in the dollar, and government-sanction murders —that we can definitively say he was right: america chose decline

A post has created a ton of online discourse in Texas today, including some GOP officials condemning it. It’s from Bo French, GOP nominee in a statewide race in TX (Railroad Commissioner, which deals with oil & energy). Picture shows nonwhite students cheering; I didn’t want to share full photo.
