Beyond a new rape allegation, the @democrats-judiciary.house.gov report implicates current Attorney General Todd Blanche, stating he "may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice while acting on a mission to protect Trump," referring to an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. Seems like news!

Will anyone—anyone at all—ask Trump about the rape allegations published in an official report by the House Judiciary Democrats? Or will he continue to escape accountability for his violence?

But, much like we've seen with anyone else who's fallen down the "AI Art" slophole, He doesn't want to make art, but to *have made* art. To wave his hand and have all the prestige that comes with making a thing, JUST LIKE he thought the Blue Check *gave* legitimacy, instead of recognizing it.

Materialist Gnostic@walmsley.bsky.social

something that's nuts about this is that Elon *has* the money to actually make this movie. it doesn't also have to be a tech demo. if he cared he could double Nolan's budget and set whatever accuracy criteria he wanted

FANTASY VERSIONS OF ROMAN ARMOR, WITH HORSES WEARING MODERN TACK, AND GODDAMN STIRRUPS, SEVERAL THOUSAND YEARS EARLY. THIS IS LESS HISTORICALLY ACCURATE THAN HAVING JULIUS CEASAR USE ABRAMS TANKS.

The ships are being rowed... by no one, apparently, because all of the men are crowding the bows ready to leap out of their viking longships and charge the cavalry racing towards them on the beach. None of this makes any goddamn sense, historically, tactically, or physically.

A reminder that something like this instead is a faithful recreation of what Bronze Age armor would resemble:

Welcome to the Good Side. :) I blocked them about a year ago, when they platformed a once-popular novelist's long, convoluted essay defending "AI." 🤮 She spent so much time clarifying her weird points in the comments (which Mike censored 🫤) that she eventually admitted: she "wrote" it with "AI." 🤡

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

Does it make sense to deport a man who overstayed a visa but otherwise has no criminal record when his deportation means shutting down a food pantry that serves meals to 7,000-8,000 needy people a month? Does choosing not to exercise discretion in his case make America greater?

If we tax Elon Musk and his fellow billionaires appropriately, every child in America can have healthcare, education, and a well funded social safety net instead of some racist billionaire’s pathetic pr stunt

Elon and the Epstein class have no intention of repaying the national debt. They are actively trying to crash society in order to set themselves up to be feudal lords. This isn't me joking. It is their literal plan

I’m very much enjoying #TheTombOfDragons, don’t get me wrong, but I am BOGGLING that Katherine Addison now wants me to parse Iäna Pel-Thenhior as heterosexual. I can try to buy his InstaBesties dynamic with Thara Celehar as platonic, if you insist, but reading him as STRAIGHT is just…? 🤯

DHS investigators not only took Ilhan’s cell phone, they took her computers, notebooks and her passport! These seem like important details. (You can tell who doesn’t read the full Wall Street Journal article: me.)

Was watching Buffy’s Anya backstory episode. Friend asked why I sighed. “She’s not of a sufficiently high social class to have domesticated rabbits that far north in Europe in that century, but the writers couldn’t know, the paper was only presented at a conference yesterday.” Accuracy is fleeting.
