Still covering Elon Musk as a business mogul and not foregrounding his murderous white nationalist politics is like doing a piece on only the clown career of John Wayne Gacy.

“I think America is big enough for all of us. [JD Vance’s] view of America is small. It's small like him.” A lot of money quotes in this @gregsargent.bsky.social interview with @abdulelsayed.bsky.social, but this is the best one in my view.

Abdul El-Sayed on JD Vance: "I think America is big enough for all of us. His view of America is small like him. It's about pointing to other people and making the argument that the reason *you* don't have is because of *them.*" El-Sayed came on our pod. It's good: newrepublic.com/article/2168...

Katie Zacharia was in the middle of an interview with WSJ when she was ousted. She was telling The Journal about her plans for the role. Then Jason Miller knocked on her door. 'JD wanted to chat with us real quick.' Zacharia never returned — to the interview, or the job.

This 7-term congressman - chairman of the House Freedom Caucus! - thinks he can tell a reporter at a press conference it’s illegal to record him. They’re all really mean, but so many of them are also so incredibly stupid.

Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

It’s reasonable that we focus on cases where chatbots push people to do violent things or self harm. But one has to wonder how many cases like these, where someone goes into debt buying tokens to support their “genius” startup idea, there are. Is this essentially OAI running a pig butchering scam?

I saw precisely one podcast with barkan, having never read or heard of him before, and it was immediately clear he was relying on poorly executed rhetorical/debate tricks while being needlessly condescending to his interlocutor. Cant speak to the plagiarism charges but, imho, the vibes were off.

Also the entire supposition here is false. Of *course* public officials say different things in their private diaries and in public press conferences. "I think Theory X is true but I don't want to say anything publicly until it's confirmed" is responsible behavior, not lying!
