COPFS complaint submitted, and video, statement, and supporting documentation passed to the media. I'm not even putting this straight on YouTube, I want this cunt's face in the media, even though I expect 90% of the comments to be about me not using the cycle lane.

Absolutely incredible. I finally heard back from the Procurator Fiscal about why this was closed - because the driver didn't reply to the court summons... "The accused did not answer the complaint when the case last called on 9th September 2026. Due to Road Traffic Act 1988 legislation the..." 1/2

Maybe THIS time, Ratho Coaches will pay attention - the last time I had an incident with one of their drivers (Similar time and location, possibly the same driver) and I contacted them I heard nothing back. Not even an auto reply. Maybe they care about negative press.

This was the Greenbank to Meadows Quiet Route this morning. At least the drivers aren’t speeding and ignoring the Give Way road markings when they’re at a standstill.

Sigh. Time to email COPFS, since they never bothered to tell me anything apart from the "You will receive a witness citation soon" letter a few months ago...

2/2 ...instance time bars 6 months after the offence occurred and the Crown were legally unable to proceed on 9th September when the case called. Due to the non-imprisonable nature of the offence, it was not proportionate to seek a warrant."

I've replied to the email to make sure I'm understanding this right, and to ask if the video evidence was viewed before the decision to let the driver off was taken, and if there's a complaints procedure I can follow for this - this was the most I've ever feared for my life while cycling...

According to international law people living under occupation have the right to resist their occupiers (& that includes armed resistance). If Britain was under brutal occupation would we be condemning attacks on occupying soldiers or supporting those fighting back?

Burnham’s government is telling people to stockpile food & water in case of a climate crisis/“technological dependency” while contributing to that climate crisis with Jackdaw & embedding *Palantir* into government systems. Labour is literally saying “protect yourselves from our bad decisions.” 1/2

I think the thing about AI and small business owners is that previously the design would have to be run past either a second person who know some amount of design, or they'd learn photoshop and some amount of design with it now they can ask the AI to do their bad design and the AI never says no

This video camera study showed that less than 5% of people on bikes broke traffic laws while riding bikes, yet 66% of people did so while driving. And perhaps even more importantly, if you REALLY want even MORE bike-riders to obey laws, build more protected bike infrastructure. Via @carltonreid.com

Danny Tommo's 'patriot platform' vigilantes were refused service in The George Inn, Portsmouth. They demanded to know why, despite the fact they do not have to be given a reason. Always make bigots feel unwelcome. Show the pub some love for doing the right thing. Things you love to see ✊❤️

this is an insane way to frame this attempted murder. i hope that chud rots

It's a choice (a bad one) to tell readers this driver "passed too close to cyclists" when there's video evidence showing he drove his car into them, made contact and hurt someone. Fellow journalists: we can explore the nuances of punishment for drivers without obfuscating their dangerous behavior.

The Energy Secretary says North Sea drilling “won’t take a penny off energy bills.” The Health Secretary says summer heatwaves put pressure on the NHS. So where’s the Government’s impact assessment? If they don’t have one, they should delay the decision on drilling for oil & gas until they do.

Labour can't be trusted with our future.

Mark Ruskell@markruskell.bsky.social

Reckless for the climate, useless for energy security this decision shows the UK is prepared to gamble with our future and it sends a message out globally that others can do the same 🔥🌍

Incredible timing too I guess the UN must be part of those "climate campaigners"

This is not about "climate campaigners" and framing it this way is totally ridiculous This is a blow to the planet and us all

On going ahead with Jackdaw: Sally Nugent: "For people who are going to be struggling to pay their energy bills this winter, what difference will this make?" Energy secretary: "its really important to be clear that this project does not have an impact on affordability & bills"

Labour's approval of the Jackdaw gas field won't cut household energy bills or improve energy security. We need investment in cheap, green renewables to create jobs and cut our bills.

Approving the Jackdaw gas field solves none of our problems, while contributing to the existential crisis of climate breakdown. The government has privileged special interests above the general interest. It's a shameful, cowardly decision.

Awful news to wake up to today. New oil and gas fields won't bring down our bills and won't create secure jobs, and will only cause untold damage to our climate. We need a Just Transition now, and governments brave enough to end our reliance on fossil fuels

🚨 BREAKING: The UK Labour Government have approved the Jackdaw gas field. This a devastating betrayal of future generations. Jackdaw will make the UK even more dependent on the global gas market. This will do nothing to lower household energy bills and it is dishonest to pretend that it will.

We were too spineless to regulate these billionaire freaks, so now one of them gets to decide whether Ukrainian drones can catch the missiles aimed at Ukrainian kids. We have failed spectacularly.
