It's another day, so let's talk about this. First of all, Lula didn't win the election alone. He won because more than half of the country FREAKED THE FUCK OUT and built a popular movement that organized several actions both irl and online.

Foreign political analysts will take the wrong lesson from this, but that's a topic for another day. Today we celebrate.

i will never not be militant about trans rights cis people: demand nothing less than full, unequivocal rights for trans people and do not accept from anyone the idea that it is naive to demand it we deserve what you have

Potentially stupid question, but ... why is Disney+ advertising Disney+ to me? Is that supposed to soften me up for other ads later? So I'll go "well, at least it's not something they *know* I'm already paying for"?

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

Yay, they moved to Blue Sky! This is the non-TERF account. They are also more broad in their definition of ‘art’, which I think is especially important around women, given all the millenia of “women’s work”. Ancient Egyptian linen so fine you can see through it. Lace tablecloths by hand. Food.

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

Anyone who’s had this will tell you the same story and it is IMO important to understand the terror of transgender people as sex offenders is much the same thing as black-clad lads in the street shouting against migrants as sex offenders. They are different facets of the same reactionary project.

Something something subtext, something something cowards, etc.

I was born in 1985, so the very clear answer is HIV treatments. That difference is *mind-blowing*. I also personally appreciate that not everything everywhere smells like stale cigarette smoke anymore. And Brussel sprouts taste good now.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Also, studies show that when we improve a space or system for the disabled, the benefits actually spread to everyone. You’re not just helping yourself later; you’re helping yourself right now.

This is ragebait so not directly quoting it, but the question misses the point: studying those topics trains you to THINK, which ia something EVERYONE needs to know regardless if you use those specific skills.

There’s details in this that are notable, but overall absolutely amazing. I imagine most of us will eventually know someone who’s life was saved because of this. Star Trek level technology here.
