They are not only obsessed by trans people. They are also obsessed by women who do not wish to subordinate to their husbands or partners. Next will be men who share household obligations. It's a full blown backlash.

I would imagine a lot of it is jealousy to be honest. They hate the fact they are open and comfortable with who they are and not worried about what others think. They are miserable in their existence and want everyone else to be miserable too.

Conflating gender and biological sex is pseudo-science. Biological males can't become biological females, and vice versa, AND TRANS PEOPLE KNOW THAT. They are performing their preferred GENDER, not changing their SEX. You know, the same way cis men get hair plugs and cis women shave their legs.

"Biological sex" is fuzzy and multi-faceted. It's more than chromosomes. It involves hormones, epigenetics, physical anatomy and gene expression. Transition treatments are capable of changing many of these things. Sex is not immutable and it's incorrect to say that people can't change their sex.

Instagram brought me exactly the rebuttal for this that I needed yesterday: our bodies know how to be trans. Give 'em the hormones and they know precisely how to change. Give a trans woman estrogen and she'll grow breasts. Give a trans man testosterone and he'll grow a beard.
