Trump: "With Roger Marshall in the Senate, we will make year-round E15 permanent. But if Adam Hamilton is in, I'm not going it. That's it. I'm only doing it for him. That's a big deal for Kansas."

E15 is not compatible with most cars unless they are "flex fuel". Ethanol has less power per oz, absorbs water, is corrosive, and destroys rubber that is not made to handle it. That is the reason most owners manuals say E10 is maximum content, and for generators and small engines it is not ok.

Not surprising that the crowd was ambivalent. E15 (aka Unleaded 88) is already widely available and is typically cheaper for consumers. It's like the $5k checks...only if we win. Yeah right.

No surprise. If Marshall wins Kansas can expect government disaster funds for tornadoes, droughts, etc. If Marshall wins — forget about it. Withheld disaster relief in California & NC because they didn’t vote for me. Will do the same to you too…

Extorting the voters who already have shown up to support you is quite the choice. Coming to accept it after a split second of silent contemplation on the part of his supporters is pretty wild too.

18 U.S. Code § 597: "Whoever makes or offers to make an expenditure to any person, either to vote or withhold his vote, or to vote for or against any candidate; and Whoever solicits, accepts, or receives any such expenditure in consideration of his vote or the withholding of his vote-

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

I'm not sure what E15, but what he's saying is that as president, he won't do anything for you, the citizen, unless he gets his way. He could do something for you, citizen, but won't unless you do what he wants. His service to you, as an American, is all contingent on his vibes.

The consumer economic problem with ethanol is that it has about 85% the energy of gasoline. So the blend is cheaper per gallon, but may not be per mile. But yes, grow food using diesel to make alcohol to use instead of diesel.

E85 is currently less than half the cost of gasoline so ther actually is a saving if you have a car that can take it. Theoretically all cars made in the past 15 years should be able to burn e15 without too much issues, but the only real benefit is to drive up prices for corn farmers

Because FARMERS make their money by over growing lots of extra corn to then sell to make the ethanol & therefore make lots of money on the backs of oil companies & consumers; more corn than we need for food. Trump is threatening farmers. Vote for me & make $$$. Vote for someone else & you don’t.

I was going through gas weed trimmers like crazy. They would last 1 maybe 2 seasons. Ended up finding out that E10, that's pretty much the US std. was destroying those small engines, so yeah, it's all shit

i didn’t at first. took a minute. e15 is gasoline that has 15% ethanol (alcohol, from corn). it’s used in the summer to reduce smog. a lot is imported from brazil. he always goes with the simplest stereotype. KS does a lot of agriculture. therefore, hit them with the corn ethanol subsidy.

The crowd here chortles about Trump's statement that he will treat the state's citizenry differently and worse if a Democrat prevails. Just a complete violation of the oath, and the Constitution's directive to work toward the common welfare. Punishment. They laugh. Civics education folks.

Ethanol is less efficient and reduces fuel mileage. It's use is intended during winter weather inversions to reduce pollution. It's also hydrophilic inducing moister into fuel systems, degrading components and filters. It's a grift for corn farmers and mechanics.

Cool. Voters in Kansas and other states that don't like E15, and consumers that consider the production of E15 to be almost equally environmentally bad as regular gas, along with not worth the loss in MPG, are effectively told by Trump to vote against GOP candidates.

In June, Trump said he'd sign legislation allowing year-round E15. Now he says he won't if Kansas elects Adam Hamilton. If the policy benefits farmers and consumers, why should it depend on which senator voters choose? Public policy isn't a campaign reward.

Hoping by now most people understand that trumps word means absolutely nothing. Let’s remember he said he’d: end Ukraine war day one, lower energy costs on day one, no more foreign wars, DOGE checks, Tariff rebate checks, gas down to $2/gal etc. He’s just conning for votes… don’t fall for it

What an insult to the voters of Kansas. If I was one of them, listening to the president telling me that he’ll only carry out his basic duties to my state on condition of my support, that would 100% guarantee my vote to the opposition.

Gene Wilder described Kansas maga in Blazing Saddles ....simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

I’m from Gaza, and my family desperately needs your support. Please share or repost my post on my profile. Even one small act of kindness could help my family survive. 🙏❤️😔😔

Threatening voters. So "presidential". I'd vote against E15, and not just because of pushing back on his threat. I'd prefer not to pay the price of damaged motorcycles, lawn equipment, chainsaws, or generators, that I've had for years and are still perfectly good but not compatible with E15.

E15 is sometimes cheaper and a little less mileage than 10. So I don’t even see how Kansas really benefits from it anyway. If your car is older it would also be hard on your engine

Next Democratic POTUS needs to eliminate the ethanol program that does nothing but pollute the land and suck dollars out of the treasury into the pockets of wealthy Republican farmers.

Kansas is smart enough to know that Trump always takes hostages first before any fleecing. At Warton, Trump stopped listening after "Carrots and Sticks" a was busy abusing somebody during "Recognizing Points of Diminishing Return 101". The extra words are window dressing, this is "The Squeeze".
