Amazing double timing ability. AI at least I see some real utility for. But his other sick venture is to become a gatekeeper for who is allowed a voice, who can talk, who is allowed to claim humanity. bsky.app/profile/dart...
“Altman is backing a tool called The Orb, built by Tools for Humanity, that says it will offer “proof of human” in a world where AI makes it harder to distinguish what, and who, is real online.” phew so the guy who helped create the problem happens to also have the solution what are the chances
@edzitron.com Any idea as to who might be responsible for this, lol
Maybe everyone else already knows how to do this, but I just learned today how to disable AI on your iPhone/Mac device!!! - www.cnet.com/tech/service...
Investors are psychopaths, These statements are designed to appeal to them and attract the newspapers. It's just marketing to them, even when the damage is real. it is obvious because Sam who's telling it, when it should be a government agency, that should immediately ban AI, that are used for scams
Which is not to say AI has no applications at all (it's good at pattern recognition and reproduction), it just cannot do the things they are claiming it can do. It is not intelligent. It absolutely cannot be used as a reliable source of information when it gets basic facts wrong about half the time.
"Bad actors" you say... bsky.app/profile/cnn....
