Oh my God

He knows ball

It’s really odd, isn’t it?

Squealy Todd

Lmaooooo Papa pig is causing 99% of pig related accidents

Even the pigs said fuck the pigs.

She’s human but still loves him despite him being a worm

All Cops Are Beasts

Um wait till he looks at the role of women in Busytown

Ya drive where the wolfwagon goes ya take yer chances!

Hahahaha

Bananas Gorilla was framed

Richard Scarry said ACAB

@rubenbolling.bsky.social has captured that scarry reality for a while now:

Fun fact: Breaking Bads Vince Gilligan (although I appear to be the only person who knows) got the idea for S5E1 the giant magnet to wipe the seized laptop from an episode of TV series ‘The Busy World of Richard Scarry’ but he’s never mentioned this. (I once went through them to find which one)

ACAB

The porketariat.

Farmer Pig would disagree with who is causing all the accidents

Haha, good one. Anyone remember what that sketch was about?

Worm

There is no unskilled labor!!

@mkramer.bsky.social I feel like you should be aware of this thread

Pork. This is what happens to criminal pigs.

It ain't called "Busytown" for nothing 🤔

Indeed!

There is a rhinoceros one in one of the short stories, though he seems to do marine safety enforcement so I’m not sure if he s a cop cop or some sort of coast guard type thing.

I like to think Polka and Dotta are in a lavender marriage and fucking their real partners, who’re the same gender as them.

which kind of pig in specific? CEO or Cop?

Fuckin’ Mister Frumble. What is WITH that guy? 🤨

the longer this meme keeps going, the funnier it gets

I love the fact that the original typo is preserved in this meme

But frankly, without the data from Workville, this analysis is just worthless. I would never let this person pass peer review or an oral exam committee. Trash.

I've seen that video

I once swore off pork for a whole Tuesday, but then a pie crossed my path and I forgot the oath entirely.

It makes sense if you know pigs.

It's people sausage!

The Blockheads would like a word.

Kinda hard to trust them when one wears a colander on his head though

firefighters are working class but often have conservative views, in this essay I will

There is a constant danger of getting their bacon fried, tho

It has a long prehensile tail...

😅I love when people hyper-analyze. Especially busy town

🤣 🤣 🤣

I love the details in the artwork of Richard Scary.

Loved these as a kid. But couldn’t help noticing that my people were represented as pigs. The kissing the Blarney Stone scene is especially printed on my memory. Also Glip and Glop the Greek painter-decorators.

And some dogs and at least one worm. A Sunday night bedtime didn’t provide a whole lot of opportunity to evaluate the premise of the question.

Hey, what about Pig Me Too? The pigs were the most human!

Turnabout from the power dynamics of Animal Farm?

Well they're all communists after all.

A husky dog maybe, but not a Siberian husky dog.

Hedgehog erasure

Wild Bill Hiccup is just into civil disobedience and nonconformism why is the author shaming him?

Yeah those books are full of things that once you notice you can't unsee, it's all very problematic.

Thats obviously a hedgehog

Excuse me that is a bear.

His skin may be pink, but his money’s green

Omigosh The Racoons.

To be fair, pigs are the main characters in Peppa Pig, so they're bound to be the figures doing most of the plot-driving activities, for better or for worse.

Oh fuck her! I wasn’t sure at first but now I’m onboard with pig racism.

Isn’t he also a butcher/serial killer?

Just email him. He may respond. He’s a funny guy, I took part of my social sciences core with him in college

not that it matters at all but seems like the wikipedia article misread the paper. the 75% is out of the times a pig was involved in an accident (aka 16% of accidents), not 75% of all accidents 🤔

thanks @andrewelsass.bsky.social for sending this to me! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busytow...

Hold it, but if Pigs cause 3/4rs of the accidents, but the accidents are the fun bits (along with finding Lowly) aren’t the pigs driving the plot, and hence the most important characters? And, Scarry draws a super pig.

My childhood has been a lie!

Well then do better, pigs!

After Animal Farm, I can see that people might be reluctant towards placing pigs in influential positions in literature.

Poor pigs, they don't deserve to be associated with cops ☹️ They're social and empathetic animals, very much unlike cops.

I had an aquaintence who was a self proclaimed artist. I lent her a Maurice Sendak book that was particularly well drawn and heart felt. She gave it back, unread, and said she couldn't get into Richard Scarry. It's not easy making real friends.

Snowball and Napoleon have scheduled a press conference for noon today.

Good for the bears

Lowly Worm should never have received an operators permit for his Appel Car!

Wait till he gets hold of "Maus."

Because pigs do the "grunt" work? :D

Perhaps it was a subliminal fear of wild boars that caused Richard Scarry to portray them so harmlessly. research.fs.usda.gov/treesearch/6...

Can confirm. F12.

I loved that book.

Friedrich Nietzsche's Busytown

They let worms drive in that place, so what can you expect, really?

Being a lowly worm sucks the most
