I think Elon Musk is JUST sentient enough to be dimly aware that he is damned for all time - that his name will be pissed and spat upon for as long as his filthy legacy is remembered - and that delights me. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

The Star Trek franchise should institute a policy where they don't refer to historical characters until they've been dead for long enough that their legacies can be evaluated properly - that would help avoid problems caused when today's "visionary" turns into tomorrow's genocidal maniac

The man who once boasted he could end world hunger..and literally could-but chose the opposite ..I hope it stays curled-up in him that millions died because of his reckless stupidity ..I hope he hears them at night before he sleeps.

The Robber Barons were villains but there was a culture amongst the % of that era of a pissing contest to see who could be the fanciest, get their name on the most things, support the most, etc Patronage was always the silver lining to wealth inequality. Musk is worth more, but somehow worthless.

The Robber Barons believed in three things that Musk does not believe in. Divine judgement. The United States. Social and civic order - i.e., physical and cultural infrastructure - which served to guide and build capital. Musk cares not a jot for religion, politics or society and it shows.

Elon is probably hated by more people than Nixon ever was, and perhaps even more than ol' Pol Pot. Stalin and the mustache guy seem safe for now as the pinnacled of modern evil, but Musk is working hard to dethrone them both.

Anyway, go ahead and sue over truthful statements about your genocidal crimes, Elon Musk, you pasty and whining Whore of Babylon. Go ahead. You will always be stained with the blood of millions of innocent lives. (I don’t even like Ro Khanna, but let em fight).

He’s holding out hope AI will destroy objective truth and people will simply forget. But he can’t fight an oral tradition of millions of people telling every future generation that he was a fucking murderer.

There's evidence that oral myth can transmit verifiable information over thousands of years. Let's do it.

(Speaking of oral history, everyone should read this book about how the myth is a method of data compression and mnemonic to orally transmit important information over thousands and tens of thousands of years)

He qould throw his DOGE flying monkeys under rhe bus and shield himself with "not being akshually the head, that was the disposable lady". TBH he probably has little paper trail for the decisions, and a lot of people "working towards the MechaFührer ".

100% the threat confirms it. If he thought he really genuinely hadn’t done it he would actually just sue the person. But he knows he did. What’s more he delights in the harm he caused.

So he would have to take the stand and refute a mountain of evidence indicating that his reckless actions have endangered to children? Let's crowd fund a safety net for her so she doesn't settle out of court, because watching him squirm is gonna be priceless.

Wouldn’t there, then, be a hearing in court, where he would have to face the evidence of how his actions directly resulted in millions of deaths? Or is he betting on a summary decision by a Trump appointee judge?

I suspect that he's right on the cusp where he's aware that *public opinion* of him is worse that public opinion of swimming in camel diarrhea. But not that he's actually *earned* it. I know it's an armchair diagnosis, but he seems so deeply narcissistic that he actually can't process the idea.

An extremely high profile defamation trial centering around the truth of the statement “Musk‘s actions killed children” might be as close as we get to a tribunal - which is why he will never take that case to trial.

Libel has a high legal standard -- they'd have to prove Khanna was aware information was incorrect and intentionally used it to damage Elon Musk -- very difficult to prove Like most (US) libel suits, the intent is financial intimidation and censorship

The dude went on huge rants about "assassination coordinates" when somebody posted his jet landed in a certain city He's absolutely aware he is hated and looking over his own shoulder every moment

There was that one Twitter account that posted nothing but Elon’s (admittedly public) flight records. One of the first accounts he had deleted when he took over. A bit of an overreaction but knowing how mental he is, it’s not unexpected.

elon should show us all and just go to mars together with mecha hitler - of course on one of his spacex rockets (I'm sure the one he will go on will be just fine, he said so every year since like 2018 that next year it will be fine, so certainly the next one should be the one!)

Khanna was expressing an opinion, which can't be libelous. Why is Musk acting like Khanna made a factual statement? Oh, maybe it's because Musk knows it's true? The above is also an expression of opinion. Generally, my opinion is that Musk should be crushed by rocket debris.

that’s exactly my point. musk wouldn’t respond this way if he wasn’t on some dim level aware that he has committed hideous obscenities.

I guess it particularly stings that it's Ro Khanna who was reliably bought and paid for by Musk for at least a decade. That someone so fundamentally mercenary now realizes Musk is poison - maybe that helps drive the point home.

Very good point! After Musk has that temporary falling-out where be brought up "The Files", Khanna actually suggested now was the time for Democrats to poach him to their side. (!!! - this was AFTER the Sieg Heil salutes and DOGE damage, BTW)

I think he also realizes that with enough money behind you you can literally write your own version of history, which he is literally trying to do via Grok.

Ro really has come around. I'm so old I recall Khanna was known as the Musk whisperer of the Democratic party - suggesting all Dems embrace Elon with open arms.

I am not the one to ask, but my understanding is that there is a very high bar to suing Senators and Representatives for their statements with even the slightest connection to their legislative duties. In that light, it's hard to see a cause of action here that could survive precedent.

I think Elon should go for it. If Ro Khanna said he killed 4.5 million children, that’s defamation. I watch the estimates, and no one seriously thinks Elon has killed more than 750,000 children…

A friend works at UNICEF. They can list the names of individual children who died because of those cuts, and the numbers definitely run to the millions. Infamy.

“Feeding USAID into the woodchipper” turned out to be feeding millions of children into the woodchipper, and we’re all pretending like it’s not happening
