it's really funny when someone kool-aid-mans onto a website dominated by neurodivergent people, and completely fails to notice that they are not, fact, the only neurodivergent person in the conversation lol

on bluesky i operate under the default assumption that everyone on here is neurodivergent with a few fascinatingly rare exceptions

I do like that everyone is neurodivergent, and we spend so much time yelling and billionaires and tech bros to just be normal for 5 minutes. I mean, we're managing, what's their excuse?

like this is not the website for non-neurodivergent people! that's tiktok and threads! this is the website for weirdos who still enjoy text-based media in 2026!

You all are on bsky because you know how hard it is to concentrate on a video for more than 3 seconds. Admit it.

i'm 41. "gifted" growing up, spent my teens-20s tripping out WAY more often than somebody should, in my 30s basically gave that up and became a functioning alcoholic. i would by no means call myself "neurodivergent," but am definitely not a "normie." bluesky is way more my vibe than its competitors.

Oh, I did do TikTok for a time, but only if they included subtitles. I won’t watch anything without them. Even the computer generated, sometimes hilariously wrong ones are better than none. HoH as well as weird (or undiagnosed neurodivergent. Both my (adult) kid and I are convinced we’re AuDHD)

Sean (the adult child) is diagnosed Autistic though, as is half my family at this point. My niece is AuDHD. The most typically autistic of us is waiting for an ADHD assessment though.

I went to behavioral health thinking I had ADHD because I had a lot of trouble paying attention when people speak, especially if they use lots of ums and ahs. Turns out I'm just a jerk who lets "they're a bad public speaker" take over my brain instead of listening to what they're teaching.

I don't think just thinking that (and having a hard time paying attention due to it) is being a jerk; you can't help your own reactions. It would only be if you stood up and said "you suck at speaking!" Anyway the fact that I immediately thought to make this probably makes me the asshole.

❣️To my mind, it takes some turns to get all souls used to the fact each one is unique. Blending such a gamut of souls in all inclusive harmonic continuance to facilitate the self-mastery of each one without harm to anyone, has many challenges, but it must be achieved at this level before the next❣️🕊️💙

Also happens on Discord servers for certain games (buddy there is not a single neurotypical person who plays Dominions 6. I'd bet money on it.)

My assumption is All socially media is 100% populated by neurdivs until proven otherwise. This might now be correct in the strictly platonic sense, but like Newtonian physics it’s correct often enough that the assumption functions.

The job here is all about figuring which flavor-combo you’re dealing with in any given thread. Especially when jokes are involved.

Like...if you've only ever been on Facebook or Twitter you are internet ignorant. If you also went in reddit you're still an internet baby. If you were ever on 4chan or something awful you at least know some ball. If you were on Tumblr or deviantart then maybe you actually understand the internet.

Strutting into the headquarters of Autism, Inc and loudly explaining to everyone in the lobby that some people are a little autistic with it.

"this person who actually follows 20K people without follow farming is neurotypical and not the kind of adhd where they will explode without stimulation, surely"

If it was the one blasting my article, yeah lol. So much assumed knowledge. Calling into question the motivations of people is now ad hominem. I'm European now! And I'm now also neurotypical and wanting to make fun of neurospicy folks.
