Sorry, but I really hope people who love THE WILD ROBOT movie know it was inspired by my book. It's mentioned in the credits but most people don't read that stuff. If you love the movie you should check out the book! There's more to the story and it's a quick read.

Hey Peter! Reading this trilogy to my family was one of my greatest joys of fatherhood. We all enjoyed them tremendously, each more than the last. The whole family saw the movie twice in theaters as well, how lucky you are to have received such a wonderful theatrical treatment of your amazing story.

We’re REALLY hoping to see Escapes and Protects turned into their own movies from the same studio! They would be so cinematic and epic to be realized on screen as the first one was. Thank you for creating this universe and these stories! My kids will get a kick out of me getting to tell you hello :)

I just recently finished this trilogy and it's going to go down as one of my favorites of all time! I can't decide which one I like best. I'm excited to watch the movie but more excited to see if the Wild Robot's story continues

My son read the first book in class. Then him, his sister, and I read it before bedtime. Once we finished the first we immediately moved to the next two. They were so excited when the movie came out even though they missed Chitchat.

I love reading the books of movies, there's usually a lot of missed context and background in films due to time limitations that are wonderful to read in books. If the book and the movie differ? Cool, they're now in a multiverse and the film's universe is slightly altered from the original 😁

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm reading the book right now. I make it a point to always read the book first. Oftentimes, Movie Trailers are how I choose my next read. If a book is considered good to rate a movie, it's a pretty good recommendation.

Me and my kids loved the movie, can’t wait to get this trilogy for them to read and for me to read to my youngest! Thanks for this artistic contribution, it’s so great!

I just purchased the first audiobook ☺️ ready to listen, sort last minute before I see the movie so I can be that guy that's all like 🤓 "the book is better, they got *that* wrong, and *that* wrong..."

I'm reading it with my third grade advanced reading group right now, and they're loving it! The discussions they're having about Roz's growth and compassion are really inspiring. Thank you for writing such a beautiful and charming book!

my kids are teenagers now but they both remember when you came to Traverse City to talk about this book back when it came out and are still so excited to have been able to hear from you! We all loved the movie, of course, but super love the books too!

Peter, this was one of the best films of 2024. Thank you for creating such a wonderful story and characters. I will check out the books!

Started reading the book to my daughter when I was commissioned to interview Lupita and Chris about the movie. We just started "Protects" this weekend. She absolutely adores it - I think more than the movie, which she was thrilled to watch in the cinema but has refused to ever watch again.

We went to see it because of the books. My daughter read them when they first came out. My son who’s sometimes a reluctant reader decided to give the books a chance and read all three after seeing the movie.

When I was in the theater after seeing the film the 10 year old next to me said “that’s not like the book at all” so thank you random child for promoting the book, even if I think they were a bit to critical of the film

I just got the first and second, I'll be starting them the moment I find the time. The movie has already become a major comfort for me, it's wonderful, and I'm sure the books are just as, if not better! :D

We went and watched it because my son LOVES your books. They're the first ones he really latched on to as a reader and read by himself. He was so excited about the movie that he asked for months how much longer he had to wait for it to come out. Now he's reading it to us.

When we saw the first trailer, my 8 year old was thrilled because he had just read the book through his school library. After the movie, he was insistent on getting the next book

I have been reading through the trilogy three chapters a night with my daughter. Tonight is the last night of "Protects" and it has been an incredible journey. Thank you for your words and images!

Peter, your books have been some of my son’s favorites to read. He read all three books in the second grade and loves Roz and Brightbill. He and I were BEYOND excited that DreamWorks turned your amazing story into a movie. My son hopes you will write a fourth book.

Almost done the second and will order the third. My six year old and I have been slowly reading it together and it’s been wonderful.

It’s brilliant; we got the first one for my oldest for her Christmas Eve book and she devoured it. And laughed and cried— we’re getting the second one today because she has to know what happened.

I didn't know when we saw the movie, but I saw the book (& sequel) featured in the local bookstore a few days later & bought them for my son since he loved the movie so much! 😄

I didn't know it was a book but when I told my son we were going to see it he got very excited because they were reading it in class. He got the book set for his birthday and was very happy!

I've been thinking about getting into reading books and I really love the film! I look forward to reading it and learning more about the characters. Also check out this guy here➡️ 🎷🐛

My son LOVES your books, he read them (a few times) when he was maybe 9ish? He’s 14 now and was really excited to share the story with us through the movie. I think these were the first books he really fell into and loved - thank you!!

When I was visiting my daughters in L.A. last year we went to a book signing at my granddaughter’s request. We bought all the books and waited on line for ages for you to sign them. She was very happy and excited! Books rule!

Loved the movie and not I need to read the book to compare 😁 Could I ask you something? I had a discussion about the end of the movie... Many people thinks its a quite happy ending, but it seems really sad --a failure, giving up his dreams-- for me. What's your vision? 🫶🫶🫶

Loved the movie! I'm sadly not that good at reading, tires me out really fast do to having to concentrate for it. But I'll definitely try and see if I can find a audio book version :3

My son adores your book and has reread them several times over. ❤️ We just got the 3rd book over the holiday, and that one has several reread already, as well!

I have a friend with three kids. Huge fan of your books and he may have been more excited than his kids to see the film. 😁 He pointed out to me that there was more to the books, but was still very impressed and moved by the film. Congrats on all your success!

For what it’s worth, I gave my 6 year old books 1 & 2 before even telling them a movie was coming out. They WEPT for Roz & Brightbill. The movie was just icing on the cake. ❤️

Just came across this and wanted to say that my youngest, now 13, adores these books and was thrilled to see the first get a movie treatment; we had some great discussions about the differences after watching. Hope the film is leading many new fans to your work! ❤️

My son's second grade teacher started reading The Wild Robot to the class right before the end of school 2 years ago. The kids loved it so much they begged her to keep reading it even after school it ended. /1

In her 30 some odd years of teaching she'd never had a class do that. Recognizing how much the book struck a cord, she arranged Wednesday night reading sessions at the local library for the kids from the class. Although one or two kids would miss a week because it was summer, /2

almost every kid in the class was there for most of it. She ended up reading for something like six or seven weeks to finish out the book. Every kid in the class and many of their siblings will remember that for the rest of their lives. /3

Omg Hi! My 10 year old is working on a book report this very weekend for book one. His favorite book ever. He read it again just to be able to write about it for the assignment.
