It's weird this is still @tottenhamhotspur.com last post. It says a lot that given months of dross I'd take Frank over the current incumbent. At least he's a decent man, not like the newly appointed coach. Now it's been confirmed that's it for me. I'll see you all on the other side come what may

I’m sure this won’t incentivize the absolute worst people in the world to harass their neighbors by calling the fucking gestapo

What a relief!

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

I will never forget seeing the flames spread so quickly up the embankment of vallentin road towards the houses - as we hunker down in this latest storm I am clear we should test our actions in government against whether they will reduce or increase the risk of further extreme weather.

Been listening to songs Beatles members wrote after they separated this evening. It's the first time I've heard 'Isn't it a Pity' from All Things Must Pass... It kind of blew my mind. It's also so apt for this time - when everything is falling apart, you can still find things that are beautiful.

Just the endorsement needed..

🚨 NEW: Donald Trump has congratulated the UK for approving the Jackdaw gas field "They should go FULL BLAST!!! This will make the U.K. very wealthy again. TAKE DOWN THE COSTLY AND RIDICULOUS WINDMILLS!"

So very sad, so wish Bioware could be saved somehow

Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it. Massive fucking bummer.

EA just killed Bioware and the next Mass Effect, in development since at least six years. "Around 50 staff had been working on a new Mass Effect that is now canceled." This period is a never-ending nightmare.

What a thing to approve the Jackdaw oil field on the very day the UN's Emissions Gap Report says we're heading for 2.8C of warming, well off track to meet Paris Agreement goals.

Dan Furmage reposted

Jackdaw doesn't matter in practical terms: it's a rounding error in emissions. But: it will do absolutely nothing to improve the UK's "energy security", nor to make UK energy prices any cheaper. So it's a step in the wrong direction on climate, for no actual benefit. That's not great.

Dan Furmage reposted

Approving the Jackdaw gas field solves none of our problems, while contributing to the existential crisis of climate breakdown. The government has privileged special interests above the general interest. It's a shameful, cowardly decision.

One day, the Trump administration will be gone. That day can't be soon enough - leave us and the EU out of this, we aren't traitors like you Donald.

The Trump administration is proposing that Europe resumes buying Russian gas as part of an Ukraine peace deal, offering Moscow billions in revenue and renewed economic influence, NYT reports.

Replying to @chadbourn.bsky.social

The peace deal should include: 1. Russia to withdraw fully from Ukraine 2. Putin to The Hague 3. Russia to pay compensation for the destruction it created 4. Russia to become a democracy Then yes, of course we can look at buying gas from Russia again.
