sorry i need to publicly be a hater for a second but what do you mean the giant 230k+ signature save mass effect petition is only about the IP and not the devs that were laid off
I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.
I really fucking need people to go to their local college and audit a documentary filmmaking class before saying shit like "I don't think this movie accurately portrays the facts therefore it's not a documentary" that's not what the word "documentary" *means*
“'You Can See Everything' is a hilarious, thrilling, fascinating, beautiful piece of art. What it certainly is not is a documentary, and it’s dangerous to pretend that it is,” writes Theranos whistleblower Tyler Shultz. https://bit.ly/4Bk2nDJ
I'm sorry but that Save Mass Effect thing really bums me out
I absolutely understand and know what it is to be profoundly impacted by such incredible works. But if BioWare projects meant a lot to you, I implore you to care more about the people who built those worlds than the fate of the IP
let me get this right, Tesla wants to put a reverse Oceangate sub disaster next to a select group of the richest idiots and Elon Musk stans alive... and you're booing?
Ah, the auto influencers have explained that this carbon fiber-wrapped ball, which sits right behind the driver's head, holds about 100kg of nitrogen pressurized to about 10,000 psi. Let me just go review the tolerances people found in their Cyber Trucks
if you ever happen to see someone post a joke you don't understand or discuss a subject you aren't familiar with, you are well within your right to complain, and perhaps even scold them if necessary. you are their customer and you have rights
Mass Effect 1 was a huge factor in me going into UX in games. Specifically, Tom Bissell skewering ME1’s UI. I loved this game and always had this nagging feeling of jank, and he showed why. And I wanted to make it better for all players after that.
I felt a bit vindicated by a former BioWare dev who said BioWare's mistake was not just pushing out new stories with basically same systems.
YES. Stop reinventing the wheel and just give us good stories. Somehow BioWare didn't want to be the story games company, which is what it was.
Remarkable. I don't know how to explain what journalism is to two of the largest media outlets in America.
Journalism is not repeating an obvious, comical lie, then tacking on who said it at the end.
Woah - boards of service in the Marines and the Navy are ignoring Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth's order to purge transgender troops from the military. "Navy and Marine Corps boards have voted to retain trans members in nine of 12 cases." www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/u...
“With his symbolic helmet numbered 451 on his stolid head, and his eyes all orange flame with the thought of what came next, he flicked the igniter and the house jumped up in a gorging fire that burned the evening sky red and yellow and black. He strode in a swarm of fireflies.”
“He wanted above all, like the old joke, to shove a marshmallow on a stick in the furnace, while the flapping pigeon-winged books died on the porch and lawn of the house. While the books went up in sparkling whirls and blew away on a wind turned dark with burning.”
“It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed. With the brass nozzle in his fists, with this great python spitting its venomous kerosene upon the world, the blood pounded in his head,…”
“…and his hands were the hands of some amazing conductor playing all the symphonies of blazing and burning to bring down the tatters and charcoal ruins of history.”

‘Wicker’ stars Alexander Skarsgård as a man made entirely of wicker, complete with a rock-hard wicker dick. But what about splinters? Bacteria? Degradation? Would it be advisable, from a sexual-health perspective, to mount a basket dick? We asked a gynecologist: vulture.visitlink.me/DNQwX5
If I were Vivek Ramaswamy, a nonwhite Hindu candidate trying to persuade his party's racist and Christian nationalist base to forget those differences and vote for him, I would simply not do a "How do you do, fellow Christians? Here's a heresy!"
BioWare, which was once hundreds of employees across three offices, had around 50 staff remaining when EA closed the studio this morning.
EA gutted BioWare after the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard last year, as we reported then: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
My home server’s name is Shepard. The big hard drive with the actual data on it is named Normandy. The drive with the family Time Machine backups on it is called Citadel. And the entire thing is backed up to another big hard drive called Crucible.
So yes, I’m upset.
what exactly DOES happen to materials from a major studio that’s closed? where do physical hard drives, documents, etc go? who maintains all this pointless secrecy? if you know or have stories, get in touch: nathan@aftermath.site, nathangrayson.666 (signal), aftermathdotsite@proton.me (proton mail)
This is a major, major talking point on the right. Elon Musk rails against "suicidal empathy" and the term has caught on among millions. They believe that society is collapsing because we are tolerating too much and not punishing enough.
The "racism is only in the South" propaganda worked so well in this country that ppl dont even know that Oregon the state was created to be the WHITE utopia of the United States & their laws kept black ppl out up until 1926 and was fully ratified to rid the racist language of the law in 2002...... 😶
It also seems kind of bad that the Justices's book deals are interfering with their ability to hear cases. This isn't just one Justice being recused out; this is the entire Court lacking the quorum to hear the case at all.

broke a man the first time i told him this. He came up to me and said "I just don't like tattoos" and I said "well, I'm not trying to have sex with You" and I saw something permanently rotate inside him
"men don't like short hair" "men don't like tattoos" "you'd be prettier if you lost weight" sir, let's get on the same page: I am not trying to fuck you
SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.

Seems relevant to that flood of journalists who in the last few weeks announced publicly that it was okay to return to X, that the platform had gotten better, and the worst aspects of it had been minimized.
This is what you have endorsed.
On X, users have circulated nonconsenual AI videos created by Grok of a woman they think is Jane Doe. They continue to spread her name.
People have praised X for staying relevant for AI and tech conversation. But it also is the main vector for a doxing.
That is X.

I thought this was a joke at first but it looks to be real and man they really couldn't give less of a shit about anyone who still watches the MCU; they're so blatantly like yeah "yeah those fuckers will come watch it anyways who cares" 💀
