Swiping can easily be more effort. Just try reading these screenshots, it demonstrates how the carousel display often still requires clicking. It's more required interactions and more disruptive. Swiping doesn't mean you get to avoid clicking. bsky.app/profile/illu...

Can you guys also remove the jpeg conversion process in the webapp? I know it's primarily there to remove EXIF data, but I feel like there's gotta be a better way that doesn't remove image transparency.

even if you do bring it back, note that currently on the phone screen, when you try to swipe the carousel back toward the first pic, the side bar opens instead. the movement just maps on two different actions simultaneously. it's buggy and not smooth.

Being able to add more than four pictures will be great, and a carousel is a great way to do that without clogging the timeline. Thank you for listening!

Thank you! Please implement the carousel only optionally? Let the poster can choose how to display their images. If I post many images, personally I would still want them to be in blocky thumbnails that viewers can click.

I dont have links nor videos but you should check how its done on wafrn. We have an option that disables the horizontal carousel and its one image/video/audio/pdf after the other. When a post is long (text length, more than one image) we shorten it and user has to lick a button to expand post

This kind of toggle makes 5 people confused for every 1 person it satisfies. It’s not the kind of option or toggle you’d add to your app if you want it to be approachable and simple. Defaulting >4 media to a grid and more than that to a carousel seems like a perfect compromise to me.

Can we regain the ability to zoom in on the detail of photos. I follow a lot of wildlife, art and fashion accounts, and the inability to see detail us driving me mad.

Colour me surprised it’s nice to have feedback taken on board for once. :)

Can you guys add scheduled posts? And have the image and video tab on our profiles look like that of an instagram profile? Also poll posts? Theres tons more changes I would like to mention but I will leave that for now.

It's not just unpopular it is bad design. Implementing a horizontal swipe mechanic when you already have a horizontal swipe mechanic for changing feeds is just short-sighted and oblivious to the way people interact with their phones!

Gotta get a more robust DM system first. Very limited.
