My mom died 14 years ago. T1 diabetes from age 7. Had a kidney/pancreas transplant that gave me 11 more years with her. Complications had her in the ICU for 3 months before she died. Tricare and Medicare kept my dad from being saddled with a 7 figure bill. Glad she doesn’t have to endure this now.
