v1.122 is rolling out today, featuring a better way to discover and share articles, blog posts and newsletters across the Atmosphere via new, dynamic Standard.site link cards. 🧵
Post
What is Standard.site? Think of it as a file format for publishing longer posts from blogs, news sites…wherever. If you’re using Leaflet, pckt.blog, or Offprint, you’re already using Standard.site! https://standard.site/

This is part of our ongoing work to make Bluesky a great place to connect with the rest of the Atmosphere. We’re pleased to see others recently investing in making the same connections. WordPress now offers a plugin that lets any WP site publish to the network as well.
Everyone is explaining to you why this is such a shitty idea and how it will slowly kill your website, so I'll use this moment to share my fav one piece amv www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3BP...
girl please do NOT introduce moderation at the account level 😭 don't you know what happened to tumblr? The community and userbase there was growing and thriving until they cracked down on "adult content", and then everyone left in droves. It's practically a ghost site now. Please learn from history😭
Why on earth would we want account labeling....the whole point of labeling posts is to warn for the content in them so people can hide it if they want, not to label entire people as degenerates or whatever. It's so puritan. But sure, just slap a scarlet letter on anyone who ever draws a cock I guess
bsky.app/profile/high... oh ok this is why
Ok lmfao bluesky's started showing me the "Adult Content (Account)" warnings and WHO FUCKING ASKED, so I guess I'm back to disabling the adult content filter on my client. If i ever reblog something untagged, I'm sorry it's because i literally cannot see whether things are tagged or not anymore
@moderation.bsky.app @bsky.app you idiots clearly didn't learn from tumblr.
Substack is a nazi bar. It platforms, promotes, monetizes and profits from actual nazis. Be better @bsky.app.
Funny, this is exactly the same idea I submitted to Wordpress plugins. I named it SkyBridge. They never published it. It can be seen here: www.quickbuilder.com/wordpress/sk...
I still don’t know what standard is. Is it a repository or archived for posts? That’s great. Does it happen behind the scenes or do I write my post on their platform or here? I need a place to post long length posts bc I’m tired of breaking up a normal size post into 10 smaller posts to fit here
@bsky.app @support.bsky.team Feature request: Have you considered allowing users to create full length formatted posts (no length limits)? And then allowing me to link to them in a repost? Example below:👇
someone’s already recommended the platforms, but @standard.site site is just a new standard for long-form writing on the AT Protocol (what bluesky is built on top of) you don’t need to use a platform if you don’t want to, there are tools like @sequoia.pub that make it easy to use standard.site
you can use it on an existing site or create a new one @wordpress.org has also recently released an official plugin that supports writing the records for you. there are a few other platform and tools you could use on our documentation page:
