Most of those who invoke "purity politics" are not affected by the current policies. They are like MAGA in that regard; it doesn't hurt THEM, so we should just ignore it for the greater good (e.g., THEIR comfort and security).

Standing behind basic human rights (reproductive rights, minority rights, trans rights, protection from genocide) is NOT a purity test. It is a baseline.
