Gosh @npr.org if you could only look up the statistics easily online you could confirm that. bsky.app/profile/npr....

Crime is down. It's a fact. What the fuck is wrong with you people? You think licking that boot is going to save you? Stand up to fascism, which in your case just means telling the truth. I can't believe how badly our institutions are failing us. Social media intern: quit. You don't want this on you
These mayors are stating facts @npr.org, not just saying stuff. Dem mayors (sans Adams) are solving the problems that Dems supposedly don't talk about enough. I grew up in Baltimore in the 70s&80s. It's the safest it's ever been in 50 yrs as @mayorbmscott.bsky.social reports.
Dear @npr.org —- 🤔 care to comment on the obvious common denominator here??? #CallOutTheRacisttRumpRegime and while we’re at it, #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles
So the data and observable statistics (which even the most mediocre reporter can read) aren’t “saying” it? The mediocrity & complicity of the individuals in journalism—at all levels—is why fascism is here. Oh and of course @npr.org wouldn’t use this shitty framing if these mayors were white.
Mayors "say" crime is down? Rachel Treisman writes that the mayors "point to data" Does @npr.org withhold presumption of regularity from federal government agency data? Not consistently @davidfolkenflik.bsky.social @edeggans.bsky.social
Black mayors say it... because it is fact. You can say it, too, @npr.org
I know funding is tight, but could the journalists who worked on this story do more than make it another "he said/they said/who can say?" slop? You only cite one actual statistic- everything else is "Trump administration says..." or "Mayor X says..." -resulting in giving equal weight to Trump's lies
