my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

One thing about Dolly Parton's passing that strikes me is that unlike some others, she experienced a lot of praise before passing. It wasn't saved for obituaries. There were regular (warranted) love-fests for Parton. I wish that for everyone. It's a good day to tell people you appreciate them.
