Listening to a report about Google chopping down a quarter of a million trees in Finland to build a data centre while washing out yoghurt pots for the recycling
So, if there is a need for an underground American resistance movement soon, a bunch of us have our code names already. I wanted something like "Nighthawk," but I got stuck with Sk8trGrrl4Lyfe69
Also, the D.C. Cheesecake Factory-to-National Media pipline is real, having produced me, Ashley Parker of the Atlantic and Lynsea Garrison of the NYT. Kids, go wait tables or sling drinks at a bar for a summer or a year. It's a great bit of life experience with transferable skills. Not even kidding.
a problem of business consolidation, is if there was a videogame company and a AI company theyd be yelling at each other about how AI is driving up hardware prices. But nope Microsoft can burn video games if it means AI. And we all suffer for it.

if i take a walk in my little walkable neighborhood to buy fresh flowers and crunchy nectarines and my serenity is punctured by the sound of your tesla flipping in the air, i will blow up your car with a rocket launcher
KITTEN ADOPTION KLAXON
Gravy needs a home in the Baltimore/DC area ASAP, preferably one with other young cats. After the sudden death of her only sister, she really craves playtime with other kittens.
Gravy is fully vaccinated and spayed, cuddly and playful, and learns what is ok and not ok fast.
Someone told me a while back that every year they offer this to R.L. Stine and every year he politely declines so they can give it to someone who maybe needs it more than he does. If true, it really speaks to his humility as a writer and kindness as a human being. Don't know if it's true though.
