"We millenials", speak for yourself I don't know anyone my age who is so stupid. Also, we knew what work-life balance was at *elementary school* what utter tosh, workaholics and overachievers always be workaholicking and overchieving...

Yep. “Boomers are everything that’s wrong with society”—no, it’s the system, and people of all ages are involved in maintaining the corrupt status quo. It’s such a vast generalization that’s meaningless. It also reflects the corpo language of marketing (“males ages 18-34 will love it”). I hate it.

As a millennial, I don't remember asking to have my entire life be a horrific grind for survival. I would be much happier... y'know, not working myself to death.

I agree, because we're brainwashed. We have intense loyalty to careers and companies that almost never reciprocate and will drop you the second it's convenient. Gen Z have the right idea.

Cool, and when you die, you'll be replaced faster than the ink dries on your death certificate for someone else who will do it for less and no one will remember who you were bc you never did anything but work Sounds like brainwashing to me

This might be an unpopular opinion, but going to the moon & traveling through space is pointless if y'all can't stop destroying the planet we live, warring w eachother, and enslaving children for cheaper access to resources so a handful of people can amass unnecessary levels of power & wealth.

"I would never be at peace if I wasn't working so hard" Of course not. If we're not working at least 2 jobs/a job and some side gigs, there's no way to pay the astronomical rent on our vastly overpriced shithole apartments or pay our horrific medical and/or tuition bills, or buy avocado toast. 🖕🙄

Torn because I believe your job is something you *should* work hard at but because you enjoy it, and never to the detriment of your own health. But people who say this are in a cult and do not work real jobs (jobs that help people)

I worked full time, paid for my own schooling and had to commute by bus to a job in a different county. I stopped because I valued my time. What they never tell you about "the grind" is that it wears you down that why its called the grind. Now I work and pursue my passions at my own pace. Live happy

Sorry, no. The healthy way to handle the constant need to be doing something is to get a fucking hobby, not burn yourself out for a boss who thinks of you as a replaceable part of their profit machine.

We advised our zoomer kids not to put up with corporate bullshit and to leave any job that felt abusive. You get one precious life and slaving for insatiable overlords who don’t give a shit about you shouldn’t be the center of it.

Oh bullshit. That is pure oligarchial propaganda to encourage people to think that they are no more than worker drones, there to feed their lives to the churn to make extremely rich people more money. Have at it, GenZ, feel free to break the system. Regards, a millennial

Would have thought astronauts were too intelligent to slip into generalising whole generations. Most jobs aren't space travel. Most jobs aren't dreams of any sort. And work life balance becomes even more important when the money is increasingly shit.

As a millennial, I fucking refuse to throw my life away for some soulless corporation. I demand my free time for ensuring life is worth living. If you think your career is your life, you have something broken deep inside.

Well yeah when you're a fucking astronaut, that career can take a lot more time out of life, of course your job is your life, your job is literally out of this world, but when you're a 7/11 clerk and the only guy that works nights, you start adapting to that schedule and lose time to enjoy life

Bahahaha are they really trying to spin Millennials as the nose to the grindstone workaholics after decades of calling us lazy and killers of all industry? Fuck off lol I'm on team Gen Z and Alpha. Work sucks and so do you.

Also what about people with disabilities? Mental or physical, not everyone can physically or mentally work that many hours. People NEED sleep, they NEED recreation to survive. Have you ever talked to someone in solitary confinement? How does thus person even function. it's propaganda anyway

Probably the worst take I've seen in a while, and definitely an uncommon one. Enjoying life IS THE POINT, ask elderly people what they regret in life, or what they said you should fight for. They all say to slow down and enjoy it because it's short. Not work it away until you die. Propaganda this is

If you're going to lecture the youth about their lazy work ethic, don't use a Professional Passenger who brags about all the free labor she gave to Blue Origin just for the opportunity to sit in a window seat. Also, she's an astronaut like I'm a Nobel laureate.

lol shut the fuck up workaholic freaks aren't the fucking norm, especially among millennials stop trying to make people think everybody wants to spend their entire lives fuckin working stupid ass capitalist propaganda bullshit fuck you

Yeah no 🙂‍↔️ as a millennial, I'm done wasting my entire life making some other guy rich. That's stupid as hell. I have hobbies, alterations, goals, and a few friends and lovers I'd rather spend my limited precious time and energy on.

Well she's an idiot, imagine thinking having a life is a bad thing , where do these idiots come from ? America is a capitalist hellscape hope this empire falls sooner than I thought so it's bad ideas stop spreading
