Watching the credits for Wildwood and seeing “made with human hands” hit me emotionally way harder than I expected it to. LAIKA has a solid track record, and Wildwood may just be their best yet. It’s a miracle this movie got to be made in this day and age, please see it in theaters while you can.

A very real problem we're having now is that the medium is no longer new, the new creators are inspired by other video games instead of other art. Miyamoto made Pikmin because he liked being in the garden, but every ONL game is being made because open worlds are cool and UE5 has nice visuals

Keighley's disinterest in excluding AI trailers really devalues the whole thing. These events are rarely to my taste, but the experience of watching "ONL" was one of watching slop. Even non-AI games are tainted by the association — we have to second-guess, every time.
