Really enjoying not being able to tell what’s real and what’s not anymore + absolutely positive that rolling out psychosis on a societal level will bring great benefits to all.

This went on for the rest of the full hour, at which point the BBC apologised for having to go to the weather and urged viewers to follow continuing live coverage on iPlayer. Forty-one minutes of unfiltered, unchallenged propaganda by a far right party with 8 MPs, now third in the polls. Discuss.

Alex Andreou@sturdyalex.bsky.social

BBC News just interrupted its coverage to go, live, to Nigel Farage - a man with no contitutional standing in our setup - responding to the budget - a document which nobody has seen yet. WHY

When I say I love Cheesecake Factory, I mean this cat who was found malnourished and wandering through a Bay Area mall parking lot. Cheesecake Factory has since been rescued and nursed back to health. He's now healthy, vaxxed, & sweet, but still needs a loving home www.petfinder.com/cat/cheeseca...

Let's try that again, this time with the right date There will be a counter protest in Oriel Square from 5pm on 17 Nov against Nathan Cofnas being invited to speak, if anyone wants to join us.

Was just feeling quite rubbish about the broken glass (and, you know, everything else) when H brought me a bouquet of origami flowers. The wrapper says "BEST MUM LOVE YOU". ❤️💐😭

My parents still have a comfy living room chair that's been there my whole life, so presumably predates the 80s. Their perfectly sensible attitude is, if it isn't broken why would we replace it? It is broken, mind

Darryl Mott@gamerstavernshow.com

That's the bit everyone gets wrong. They try to look like the 80s/90s and they pick whatever was in fashion or what was on TV show sets at that time. Most people lag about a decade behind whatever the furniture and decor trends are because they only buy stuff when they need to replace them.

Hmm the bluesky web app is currently quite broken. I can't repost anything, it just jumps back to the top of the timeline & adds a load of whitespace there. But on the Android app, the alt text field is nearly-unusably broken (text repeats itself, pastes in mid-word, you can't scroll, etc).

Say that you discovered that you were listed as a speaker at a conference, happening in a couple of weeks, but hadn't actually been asked (let alone agreed) to speak at it. Say that when you emailed the organiser, it was obvious that an AI had responded.

Trans people are fighting to keep rights they had ten years ago—in 2016. It is not the same as fighting for rights in the first instance. So please I beg of you, knock it off with this “purity test” horseshit.

Mike@doa70.bsky.social

You know, the purity tests when trying to change society only make things worse. Im old enough to remember the fight for gay rights starting in the 80’s. We didnt change hearts and minds by demanding 100% adherence to everything. It came by increments. All you are doing is helping the magats.

Here's an idea for editors, let's do a little roleplay. Writer: "I have a contrarian take!" Editor: "Is it fucking stupid?" Writer: "Well yes, but it bucks the consensus. No one else is saying it." Editor: "Is that because the consensus is correct?" Writer: "... yes but... " <hang up>
