Dr Oz: "You'll notice, President Trump, these are discounted from $242 to $10. I don't know what the math is on that. We can't even calculate it. It's too high to calculate."

Probably can't even calculate that with a computer like nobody has ever seen before. It will be years before we know the answer to that, and the person who comes up with the answer will get the Nobel Prize, I'm sure. It will probably be President Trump himself.

I literally failed 4th grade math, and only passed Calc 2 in college because I promised the professor I'd never take another math class. And even I can figure out that percentage decrease.

A cabal of shameless, carnival barkers and grifters is running the government of the most important nation on earth ke it's a TV reality show. None of them could run and organization with any competence, honesty or integrity. If we survive, we may never recover from this. GOP is 100% responsible.

It’s hard to believe he once was eligible to enter medical school, did, matriculated, went thru residency and fellowship, became a cardiothoracic surgeon and now can’t do or even find someone else to do 5th grade math.

Oh look another math genius. At least we know Trump’s daddy paid for his “business degree.”

Trump: "Drug prices went down for the year by 1/8 of 1 percent. Now I'm getting them down, Maria, 500, 600, 800 percent. In some cases even more than that. It's hard to believe."

Dialect feature in US English, of a type which has also happened numerous times in numerous Romance languages (it's why Italian has piú and not plú, chiave and not clave). In this case it's straight dropping the L-sound and compensatory lengthening the foregoing vowel; in Romance it's

that the L, often before a vowel, goes to a palatal L (like in Italian «ta_gli_atelle» - the correct pronunciation sounds faintly reminiscent of the «lli» in «million» which can sometimes sound like «miyen») and then becomes a palatal glide like in «yes».

Do you REALLY think ANY of these GOP or MAGA people will understand this calculation? You will have to show it to them clearly, like when you taught your first grader maths. 'if you have 5 apples and you give me 2, how many apples do you have left?

I tend to expect more from someone who purportedly took science and math classes at post-secondary level. I just wanted to show how ridiculous his statement is, how toady.

yes we know about your issues with the math dude

Politicians whose campaigns still owe large sums, according to October FEC filings: - Newt Gingrich: $4.6 million - Al Sharpton: $925,000 - Rick Santorum: $983,000 - Mehmet Oz: $25.5 million - Mike Pence: $127,000 via @davelevinthal.com & @taylorgiorno.bsky.social www.notus.org/money/politi...

This is one reason why I don't like teaching medical doctors maths and statistics. They are sure they are the smartest people in the room as it was so hard to get into medical school. It was pretty hard to get into graduate school too and to spend 25 years learning my field.

Medics are not often the best critical thinkers. They benefitted from a system that prioritizes exams you can memorize. They are never good scientists, as in experiments we would have to kill half the patients which seems an ethics issue. 😜

a discount over 100% means the number will be in the negatives, I believe, and then they’d have to explain that their dictator doesn’t know how percentages work and that they probably cant make it so the pharmacy pays you when you pick up your perscription

They're taunting the American people when they act like this. They're not actually this dumb. It's performative, to let the public know they don't take their jobs seriously and don't even need to pretend to.
