Trump tells boat owners they can now "go slightly faster than 10 miles an hour, like 120 miles an hour if you're crazy. But you can go as fast as you want, and we have that order -- it's all signed, sealed, and delivered. So congratulations ... it's common sense" What could possibly go wrong?!

Wonder how much insurance companies will now raise rates because of this. 🙄 Anyway, YouTube will have a new crop of “crazy”videos of boating incidents and people overboard traversing the Haulover Inlet.

There were limits on the speed large vessels should go when crossing whale breeding grounds for example, but given the high cost of fuel, they aren’t going to be anxious to go fast and burn a lot of expensive diesel fuel.

Is this real? I mean, yeah, right on throught a harbor, I guess. On a lake? A small lake? The biggest lake? The ocean? A river? A small river? How about another law, a law saying you don't have to wear seatbelts, either. And don't need a license to fly a plane, and, and, and,

Aw man! He forgot that the detail that the boaters that came up to him had tears running down their cheeks and were saying "Sir! Sir! Biden has kept our boats slow, but you sir have made boats fast again, sir!"

Maiming or k*lling aquatic creatures, paddle boarders, kayakers, destroying bulkheads and personal property is what will now happen when selfish and inebriated boaters speed in the waterways.

He also told them that he could ban fishing if he wanted to. Told Johnny Morris, the owner of Bass Pro Shops, he could put him out of business if he wanted to.

Ahab - There is no universal 10 mph federal speed limit for all boats, but the federal government applies a strict 10-knot (about 11.5 mph) speed restriction for vessels 35 feet and larger in specific seasonal zones along the U.S. East Coast to protect endangered right whales.

As a boat owner, this isn’t “common sense.” Common sense is being able to eat without getting the shits, afford groceries, put gas in the car, and get to work. Those are real everyday concerns. Fuck the speedboat policy, people are trying to afford basic necessities.

He's actually doing the opposite so at some point there aren't going to be any fish. It is like the companies cutting trees and the just move on to where there are more trees. Destroying the planet and animals is trump's goal. He doesn't give a flying fuck because he knows that he is old and senile

Wait... wut?!? Is the federal government asserting some right to abolish all safety regulations on domestic navigable waterways? Gee, I wonder what the marine insurance companies will say?

So, just to be sure, people like Kevin O'Leary can still drive their boat into a pontoon and kill two people, blame his wife, and get away with it. And the wife can blow over the legal limit but not get charged for it by claiming she was drinking after the boat hit the pontoon. That's still OK?

As someone whose relative was killed in a boating accident, this is infuriating. And future victims can’t even sue him for eliminating speed limits because it’s an “official” aka “immunity” action.

I know there will be casualties, some will actually be innocent, but in the long run if boat owning maga chuds end up destroying their boats and shit because they are reckless and stupid... I'm pretty OK with this. We can set it right after they show us some examples why speed limits were made.

lol going as fast if you want when paying three dollars a gallon more for the diesel your boat runs on and your fuel consumption greatly depends on how fast you’re going.

Great to know boat owners can now go 120 mph in the open ocean - the better to evade Pete Hegseth's missiles when he feels like "blowing something up" and can't quite figure out which body of water he's dealing with.

So now you can really burn that $6 a gallon gasoline on just going fast as you strike marine animals. Thank you for your attention to this stupid matter.

I suspect he's talking about a rule that's set up in coastal Waters to limit the speed of large vessels. Here in the Northeast there have been many incidences where freighters and tankers have struck whales. I think there's a USFWS limit

The Biden admin did try to implement a 10-knot boat speed limit, it was designed to protect endangered whales. They withdrew the proposal themselves before leaving office, so it was not "ripped up" by Trump. 🤥⛵️🐳

What an absolute joke! 🤬 Which rich jerk who gave money to dRump now wants to sail their boat faster and not get charged! Safety be damned! Bribes, blackmail and corruption is oozing out of the White House! Unbelievable stupidity and incompetence! 🤬
