You'd think the people would have attacked it or run away -- fight or flight. Maybe the human race as devolved into a bunch of dumb cows.
Robot programmers, you failed. The Chuck Norris kick shoulda been to the nuts.
There were actually people laughing when the robot clown kicked the child.
So this is how humanity becomes enslaved.
“They were all laughing until their prison cell doors slammed shut…”
Ok we have to talk about what happened in this video. Robots and systems with AI couldn't predict the exactly position of objects and humans. So, he has hit accidentally the kid, not by your own, but probably the wig made the algorithm fail. This robot was made by UniTree Robotics.
1. I don't think the blue curly wig makes it a clown robot, but if it does it makes it even more a scary arsed clown than any other clowns, and they're all scary.
2. Yellow t-shirt girl loved it. Obviously he did her wrong.
I feel like the kid is the first one going down the line who is stepping into the striped area. Could that have thrown the robot off, and-or were there rules? I'm 99% sure the robot isn't functional anywhere close to a human like, hand-eye coordination.
Autonomous my behind. I bet it was remotely controlled. If it was actually autonomous, it should have better sensors to detect the kid being in the way. This is someone controlling it, getting carried away, misjudging the distance, then reacting in horror as they hit the child.
See how immoral these robots are. They’re programmed like it’s all fun and games! Human intelligence needs to keep this AI intelligence on a Long Leash.
They all stood there instead of kicking that shit to the ground WHAT
I dont want to internet tough guy here but if that was my kid i would have thrown that thing at its handler head first
....why?
Like it accidentally hit the kid during some preprogramed kick and it stopped instantly so its not a danger.
Help your kid rather than going feral on whats basically an expensive toy lol
Except Hitch-bot was kind and basically harmless, and was treated like a homeless person who got rolled for drug money. *This* robot actively kicked a child.
1 - If you beat up a guy for kicking your child, you won't even get arrested. But you WILL get sued for fucking up an expensive robot.
2 - That robot might be able to kick your ass.
The scariest thing about this is how non reactive everyone is! Like that kid is really looking hurt he recoiled down! Even if I were just a random bystander in this situation I would take the nearest blunt object and break that things processors beyond repair!
If it had been a human clown 🤡 he’d have been fired and sued. I hate clowns, always found them creepy not funny. As always tech makes bad things even worse!
Truly impressed by the amount of people refusing to understand that kicking a human being in the stomach is what these "wacky robots lol" are programmed to actually do.
"Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate.
"It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th.
"In a panic, they try to pull the plug."
“Skynet puts on a blue wig and roundhouse kicks a small child.”
....yall need to chill the fuck out. The robot was programed to do some kicks and the kid was too close. Should probably have made more clear lines for the audiance.
Yes, the crowd should have circled around to protect the child, or at least started fleeing they way they would flee if the circus lion escaped during the act.
Now this poor kid might develop:
Clown phobia, officially known as coulrophobia.
(Hey programmer, probably not a good idea to teach
prototype clown robot in martial arts.)
First two laws of robotics
(1) A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
(2) A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law..
--- Isaac Asimov
That really doesn't look autonomous to me, at least not after it hits the kid. I think the person controlling it stops, tries to figure out what happened, and backs away.
It should have been disabled as soon as it kicked the child. Fail safes are disappearing right before our hyper-normalized eyes. We don't even question the ridiculous. It's become the normal. Yet another normalized red flag courtesy of the extremely wealthy Tech-bros.
If there is an actual line that you aren't supposed to step over because that's where the demonstration is, you put an actual rope that people can feel rather than just colors on the ground. Also, you have a person with a "shut this down immediately" button if something might go wrong.
It that were my kid, that robot would have been reduced to a pile of twisted metal and plastic parts in seconds. Why didn't the crowd take it down? I'm almost as amazed at the failure of the crowd to react as I am by the round house kick to the boy's chest.
