Honestly, NBC news doesn't deserve to platform this anti-art bullshit. Take it down. Reminder that its still built on theft, and the likenesses of real actors. Everyone involved deserves to be blacklisted.

Like the old family guy bit, where after the show was put on fox for the second time, Peter does a bit about all the shows they canceled out of hand for no reason.

They are rolling with this all over the world, so it's unstoppable unfortunately. We need laws & protections for individual identities before people clone living stars without permission. Also, people should consider passive entertainment vs genuine living stars people identify with, traditionally.

* This is global, and forever into the future. We don't control everything, everywhere. Cheap content will be in demand by some, and not by others. People's identities need to be protected. And that was the point of my comment.

There's a lot of future tense in there. How far along did you say they are in this project? It must be pretty far to be worth a headline in a major news outlet, right? Right?

Well, in fairness, although the computer program will probably look like shit and sound like shit and not even be a person, actors are often embroiled in scandal and using AI will avoid that... *Touches earpiece* No, hang on, I'm getting a message...

Sadly, Tilly Norwood died last night from the Stuxnet worm. The controversial actress was an anti-Antivirus advocate. She is survived by her father, GPU, her mother, CPU, and her uncle Hard Drive. In lieu of flowers, please forward all of the email from your spam folder.

Reminder that this is not a person, this is a room of comp sci majors trying to convince us that Studio Ghibli was wrong for trying all those years.

What if, and a big stretch here, you as ostensibly a news outlet, didn't keep credulously posting tech pr disguised as "announcements" that rarely come to pass verbatim.

How does this article manage not to mention at all the huge gulf between the initial hype, and where we have ended, which is to say NOBODY wanted to “hire” Tilly so the company that owns her is making some trash to generate some hype.

The Comeback’s last season’s story line skewered using AI in place of real actors and writers and it’s ibeing co-opted by an AI production company. Okay……

Now convinced someone at this “studio” is the child of a high-ranking influential NBC exec There is no other reason to be giving this nullity so much oxygen

Feature film my ass. No legitimate production company or studio will work with these clowns. No SAG/AFTRA actors will work with them. SAG will never agree to this. No union writers, directors, producers, etc. This is vaporware. Purely for PR power. Shame on the media for feeding this nonsense.

Amazing that you, an ostensible news organization, are acting as free PR for this bullshit that no one wants and will never be made. How many times have you previously reported about “Tilly Norwood” and how many things “she” ”starred” in have been released? You are dupes.

I will absolutely make sure to totally and completely never watch this movie all right I don’t get Peacock anyway I can’t watch this movie. Poor poor me

Interesting collaboration. Smaller indie film-maker productions may also be worthy of some reporting, not just proper companies especially since a main benefit of the AI film-making tools is lowering access to (low budget) film-making. Not an "actor" but character consistency is difficult.

I'm sure that this "news" will excite all five of this clanker's incel fans. If you wanted to do real new reporting, you could investigate what fascist-aligned outfit all the funding for this is actually coming from. One of Musk or Thiel's companies perhaps?
