Congress voted to pass the largest job-killing bill in history. Congress voted to take away health care from 17 million people to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. Congress voted to take away food assistance from 3 million people. Congress voted to betray working people.

Not Congress, Republicans! How come you can’t say that? Tell your members and the world the god damned truth! Although in Trumps world the truth always suffers, right, it’s both sides even though it isn’t. You stand for nothing.

What pathetic garbage. As everyone is pointing out, this wasn’t “Congress,” it was republicans. 100% republicans. Not a single democrat. You betray your members when you help the side that wants to kill unions and working people. Shame on you.

REPUBLICANS voted to pass the largest job-killing bill in history. REPUBLICANS voted to take away health care from 17 million people to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. REPUBLICANS voted to take away food assistance from 3 million people. REPUBLICANS voted to betray working people.

I’m sorry but if you are a Republican and you just didn’t vote then you are a chicken shit. It means you are equally afraid of Trump as you are of the Dems in your district and as we learned “When those who stand for nothing fall for anything”

I’m going to extend some grace & acknowledge you’re not talking about me but others who didn’t vote. BTW - I personally don’t care why you didn’t vote. It’s ridiculous that eligible people don’t vote because the people who want to cause harm or who are oblivious to potential harm always seem to vote

No. I am talking about the Congress people and Senators who didn’t vote for the Bill not for people who don’t vote in general. And I am glad you asked me rather than just get angry. It’s how grown up’s handle things 🙂

Congress did none of those things REPUBLICANS did There are NO good Republicans. Republicans want to destroy America Republicans hate America ALMOST as much as they love raping children

Hey @aflcio.org you mis-spelled “Republicans” as “Congress” for some reason. Please delete and repost with edit. bsky.app/profile/aflc...

As a member of one of your affiliates, I am incredibly disappointed that you are using “Congress” as cover for the party that did this. Not a single Democrat voted for this bill. You are part of the problem and I need to consider whether my membership should continue.

Similar writing skills might result in sentences like this: Boeing killed thousands of people on 9-11. Chemotherapy in patients with stage 4 pancreatic cancer kills them, shortening the patient’s life span. Unions supported Harris in the 2024 election.

Fuck off AFL-CIO. It was Republicans - or Republicans in Congress if you must - but people will assume the Democrats aided in this mess unless you accurately pin the blame. If it pisses off some of your members so be it. It’s an educational moment for them.

Oh look, another group of liars playing the game that the republicans have no agency. Well f that, I'm not playing that game because republicans do have agency and this garbage was passed solely off of republicans in Congress. It passed because of republicans.

Low info voters (who I'm assuming you want to message to since the rest of us know) honestly will have the take away the Congress is bad and needs more disruption in the form of Trump like figures. If you aren't trying to do that maybe have a think.

Republicans. Not congress. Republican senators and republican congress people. Not a single democrat in the senate or house voted to do this. Please correct your post. And remind everyone that they timed these cuts for after the midterms. They want people to forget who did this. Don’t help them

Need more info, pal. Who in Congress voted to pass the largest job-killing bill in history? Who voted to take away health care from 17 million people to pay for tax breaks for billionaires? Who voted to take away food assistance from 3 million people? Who voted to betray working people?
