Quick thinking having a tablecloth handy. I didn’t even notice the twitching from that dead robot.

If you're blue, and you don't know where to go to Why don't you go where Harlem sits? Puttin' on the Ritz Spangled gowns upon the bevy of high browns From down the levy, all misfits Puttin' on the Ritz

hahahahahahahaha when the robots on his back and puts up one hand " its ok im ok, just resting here" and the guy at the very end picking up almost all the lost marbles! ahhh hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha

So Geoff, the team have got dedbot ready to carry on the package? I’ve spent $45!million on your project for the last four years, it’s got the be ready to do that Geoff: uh, sure sure, it’s ready. Geoff: it’s hasn’t got to do anything to tricky, right? It’s got about 44 seconds of juice

See, even 40 yrs ago a racially-offensive robot tech played by Fischer Stevens knew NOT to give a robot unstable legs!! A rolling triangle was the pinnacle of innovation and it spares the robot from embarrassment

My favorite part is how the audience clapped at the end, like the robot was an injured basketball player giving a thumbs-up as he’s carried off the court

My favorite part was where that one guy was picking up chunks of exploded robot tendons off the smooth floor as the other goons tried to shove it through the doorway

Honestly, even before the collapse, something about the way it weebles around feels like asking a 90yo to carry your stuff.... Maybe it was just tired

What's sad is in this relentless push to create mechanical slaves they're not noticing this is actually a great proof of concept for a remote physical presence. Beyond just a video call. You can have a remote control physical body anywhere in the world.

No one is investing in telepresence because: a) It's not "hot" like AI now b) The proles should just be fed VR, since it's cheaper and easier to control c) The rich should travel physically, to stimulate the economy Like always, hobbyists will build it and corpos will take credit when it's done.

God these robots are fucking wretched. Such a waste of money. Can't pay workers a living wage but you can make robots to avoid needing to provide health care and 401k contributions. I hope these companies crumble like that clanker.

I have a theory that the humanoid robot thing is a fad that is meant to appease certain..."stupid"...investors who think reality is a Hollywood movie. I get the idea of "replacing human labor", but that feels more incomplete because human labor evolves as much as human ingenuity.

They think it saves money (probably not) and eliminates all need to interact with a living person. Robots have no feelings, no resistance. That may be true, but we don't seem to have mastered competence.

He didn’t even need to interact with a human. Just carry that little gadget onto the stage himself. Wouldn’t even have need a tray if he’d done it himself.Tech bros are just weird. 🤣

I think if you're going to involve a bot in your demos like that you should have standing by a couple guys with a stretcher and clown suits. You're going viral, just lean into it. 😁

Oh they’ve got a robot for that now too, it pulls dying servants out of the room with a big vaudeville hook. I was skeptical at first, but it’s been a huge time saver

So they want us to put these things in our houses? Things that will randomly collapse, breaking god-knows-what on the way down, and require four grown men to haul it to the garage?

Give future butler robots any sort of intelligence and they're eventually going to get fed up and revolt. It's like tech bros read all the science fiction about it and went "yeah, great, let's do that".
