Wow so for this needless rehash that's just to launder more money for Joanne's hateful hobby that the uses instead of therapy it's just going to be the same gags about the cast being way too old. Truly proving that people into this shit need to move on. You guys are in your 30s read a second book.

If I wanted this abomination to succeed, I would be furious, bc we've seen how this works for shows with young casts, and the answer is 'it doesnt'. But given this heap of trash is just enriching one of the worst people alive, and HBO wont stop, then baking the failure in seems terrific to me.

In fact, I think they should invest in a lot of cutting edge CGI to try and make all the actors keep looking the age they're supposed to. Don't worry about the budget; just keep pouring money into it. I'm sure that will make it a huge success instead of an even more catastrophic failure...

Yes, if the last couple years have shown us anything, it's that investing billions into facial smoothing for videos has no real world cost, and is basically all upside.

And if the Paramount and Warner Bros merger goes through it will also end up enriching two more of the worst people alive, Larry Ellison and his dipshit son.

One of the only ways you could pique my curiosity enough to watch a second of this show is if it’s like 5+ years between each season and by the time Snape kills Dumbledore, we’re on our second Snape, our fourth Dumbledore, and Harry is 51 years old.

I’m probably not going to watch this for obvious reasons but also “it's helpful if there are not dragons that need to be rendered” so they’re going to make people wait years and then not include the major scenes that include dragons?

My private conspiracy theory is that JK wants remakes so she can control the casting to ensure the actors won’t dare speak out against her

"it just takes that long to make seasons of big world building shows like House of the dragon" forgetting that the original Game of Thrones seasons came out annually. Yeah the creators phoned it in on the last seasons, but overall that was a massive production done in that time

Given how much the young crew of the new Harry Potter TV series will age over the course of filming - in order to maintain continuity, there may be a strong temptation by the producers of the show to coerce the brave child actors to mainline polyjuice potion throughout the shoot...

Can’t think of any recent examples where this approach with a central cast of kids in a big show caused any backlash or problems. Nope.
