So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for: - Who takes over; - Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation; - How to defend US bases in the region; - Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and - How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.

To avoid waking up to 30 replies on this: Planning FOR who takes over is not the same as planning who takes over. You don't have to place the second domino, but you should probably know what it is and where it's leaning.

Public opinion was divided up until the war broke out. Then it jumped up. By the time Baghdad fell, GWB approval rating was 63%. There was definitely a rally around the flag once the war broke out even with the protests. But this time? Not happening.

But they did get it started before the $1m a plate dinner at Mar-a-Lago. You can't crash the starters at this sort of thing, can you imagine all that Botox trying to be outraged?

Oh but the US and Guardians of Pedophiles will now provide insurance for oil tankers. While Americans continue without and hoped for health insurance. But within 48 hours the oil companies have been given relief.

They miscalculated how this would become a regional war given Shia alliance. Oh right- and the actual reason "why" seems to be a muddled mess. They will try to find a savior - likely Prince Reza Pahlavi, who has been cooling his heels in the US for more than 4 decades. He has no legitimacy in Iran.

Disgraceful lack of planning, apparently due to both adolescent hubris and abysmal intelligence that suggested Iran would not retaliate as they have. The only thing I'm surprised by is that Trump was not hawking million dollar "GOLDEN TICKETS" for seats on private jets exiting the region.

Surprise! They don't plan or think anything out. They're big kids turned loose in a big toy shop playing army with their little plastic soldiers and airplanes! Neeeooow boom🗯️, neeeooow boom🗯️ 🤨🙄

This dude didn't work an honest day in his life. Completely incompetent. Managed to bankrupt casinos. His only skills were child rape and conning dumb racist assholes. This was obvious. All who voted for him are as bad.

They didn’t even coordinate the answer for the public what the reason was, oops. This means it wasn’t really planned, it was a hurried decision, and also that there’s a level of chaos. Didn’t someone say T is most likely to get us nuked? They have outdated maps? What else do they have wrong?

Also thinking that an aerial campaign and appealing to suppressed citizens is enough to overthrow a country. Students of history could have told them it would not (Vietnam, Iraq, etc.). But then again, these people are anti-intellectual and deny science and history.

I think Bibi said “we’re going in” and Trump/Rubio followed knee-jerk fashion, to save face. They never intended to go full Monty. So had no plan when it all went off on Shabbat. Obama didn’t even leave them with a Middle-east war playbook like he did for pandemics!

Who'd have thought that a government apparently staffed by halfwits who jump to Israel's tune would fail to get things right......... PS they should also have learned that Israel cares about NOBODY but themselves

I'm sure all that will be sorted out once they put American boots on the ground. Oh, BTW, Senator Richard Blumenthal is said less than an hour ago that he expects the Trump will be putting boots on the ground shortly.

Delete 'apparently' - They have and had no plan bsky.app/profile/juli...

#Germany In an interview following talks with Trump, Merz confirms that the US has no plan B for the period after the bombing of #Iran. One of his main concerns is #Ukraine. Merz does not seem to have made any progress on this issue. Merz appeared worn down. www.zdfheute.de/politik/ausl...

They figured Iran would lob some missiles at Israel and a few US targets. What they didn't expect was them going after pretty much everyone in the region. Trump's phone must have been white hot with local leaders wondering what the hell he's going to do about it.

"- Who takes over;" - I think the US had some ideas, but Israel is so set on devastating & destabilizing Iran that they keep taking those guys out. Drumpf said as much the other day w/o blaming Israel. The reason the US & Israel aren't closer allies is because of this kind of unreliability.

A bet: There were Putin&Netanyahu coordination calls followed by Bibi reassuring Trump&the military&strategic geniuses around him that T had nothing to worry about; they would take care of it. Ha! With our weapons & troops, draining our treasury, not theirs,we joined their club of hated nations.

All of those things are woke and gay according to the people in charge why would they ever think about what comes after their dumbass operation literally named "Epic Fury" they aren't serious people but they have serious powers.

The CIA didn't get the memo to kidnap the Ayatollah and company as they did with the Muduros, and Trump would fake his freaky bombing for Fox News and begging cash. Instead, Bibi Netanyahu went and murdered those 165 + School Girls as its Lebanon he wants. Trump's Bibi Netanyahu🤡

And like for every war, the only winners are the arms manufacturers. Watch their profits and share prices soar as high as the vile munitions they make. Humanity and life on earth has lost, economic considerations for the few have won…

And then there is the next catastrophe caused by Trump's insanity:👇 bsky.app/profile/lysa...

I hate to ruin everyone's day but this is VERY important: We're all aware of the approx 50% increase in the cost of oil due to Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz It's also having a catastrophic impact on supply chains with sea/air cargo & crews & ships Please read: theloadstar.com/catastrophic...

Lone conservative voice here: not having regime change plan is a feature, not a bug. We already learned in Iraq and Afghanistan that regime change is an instant quagmire. This time it is about taking out their capabilities and letting the uprising Iranian people have a chance.

The hell it is. It’s about causing as much chaos as possible because everyone knows the rich get richer when there’s a war. They make money, shatter the attention of Americans when we should be focused on the Trump Files, and can justify the militarization of the midterms all with one move.

While I agree Trump likes the distraction effect of this, that does not necessitate what his goal is in Iran, lest you fall for a rather obvious logical fallacy. What do you think is Trump’s end game with Iran? Plausible, supported theories only, pretty please.

"Letting the uprising Iranian people have a chance"? They've been completely screwed over. This is a regime that murdered 20,000 plus a month ago. There is no organised opposition that could rise up. It will probably result in a brutal clampdown on anyone who actively works against the IRGC.

I appreciate your attempt at speculation. I hope you have the capacity to appreciate others might arrive at different conclusions, but I highly doubt it. Since you are in the dark as to plans to assist the people, maybe wait till that information is clear before insisting what you “know” will happen

I appreciate your attempt to patronise. I draw conclusions from precedent. Look at the chaos in Libya following the decapitation of the regime. A divided country and 15 years of civil war, conflict spread into neighbours. Genuinely hope that more thought was given than kill the Ayatollah and pray.

Like in Iraq the first time then? The problem with the other intervention/wars was they were planned as regime change that kind of got bolted on afterwards…

The people themselves MUST lead it and control it. “Planned regime change” is an inherent quagmire. It involves installed governors with minimal accountability, a 100% guaranteed recipe for corruption, abuse, waste, fraud, and collapsing credibility to the people.

The problem with leftism is an inherent assumption that increased bureaucracy equals increased effective governing. In the real universe, increased bureaucracy leads to lower gov accountability, to big corruption and failure. Gov needs to be driven by the people.

The problem with conservatives is that they never bother to learn what leftism *is*, and they think saying "BUT LEFTISM" is a substitute for being able to justify their incoherent beliefs. Can you elaborate on how "leftism" caused Bush's attempts at regime change in Iraq and Afghanistan to fail?

Israël & the U.S. also « forgot » to provide the most pertinent weapons to the most reliable determined Iranian freedom fighters. That’s bad. And as stupid as suspicious.

Irrelevant, the ‘bully’ Iran will never come back from this. Whoever follows Khamenei will never regain the control he had. The first mistake after losing Khamenei was to attack Gulf Arabs. Not wise……

In order: 1) Who cares, if we don't like the new guys we'll kill 'em too 2) We're AMERICA, how dare you imply we can't just steamroll them in an afternoon 3) See (2) 4) See (3) 5) "Logistics are for pussies" -- Pete Hegseth

I can't follow you because my phone doesn't want me to see your page. Argh! I was impressed by your concise summary of the administration's failures in this atrocity Trump or Netanyahu started.

Appears that way… Other countries are working to rescue their citizens Americans are being left behind by our government who started this horrific mess and knew what they had planned COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE

“the attack was so successful” - we killed the people that we were potentially going to be able to work with (Small smile) tRump is drunk with power - he‘s getting off on being able to order the bombing & killing of people & that soldiers are dying for (b/c of) him. Also he likes his gold drapes

This demagogue has climbed up his pillar and is sitting on a golden throne of his making. If he says it, it must be true. The jackals that surround him do his bidding, no matter the cost, as long as they get their payback in wealth or power. I know I'm preaching to the choir. I had to vent.

You have to remember exactly who we are talking about here. These people are not the best of the best go begin eith. To expect them to suddenly become mindful is asking a bit to much of them.

You know, the story goes that The Art of War is full of obvious common sense advice because Sun Tzu wrote it for neppo baby generals making foolish or reckless mistakes that would lead to unnecessary deaths. The more things change...

1/This reminds me so much of Viet Nam in the latter days. Trump would resign, but he can't because his 'official' acts protect him, but there is no protection against his many, many civil crimes. Impeach him and remove him and this ridiculous cabinet.

2/While you're at it, recall the military from Iran, rehire and re-fund the many, experienced federal employees it takes to service 348 million people, and legislatively prohibit a treasonous MAGA. Yes. It will take years, if not decades.

But there is no reason to believe they care. If they, as I believe, started it to create content for social media they have been succeeded

Such 'incompetence' suggests it was intentional, as FBI Director, Patel, last week fired a dozen FBI specialists in Middle Eastern / Iranian counter-terrorism. We should likely expect to see Iran bring the war to America so the WH can hold a midterm election of its own choosing...
