Nixon was an unbelievably corrupt, hateful, racist man who believed in absolutely nothing but himself and his own political career I would venture that you would have to be essentially devoid of humanity to think Richard Nixon is anything other than a parasite who escaped serious consequences

Worried that my children are Nixonmaxxing. Trying to spot the signs. They claim a "silent majority" of people oppose bedtime. And when I did finally tell my daughter to go to bed she said "well, you won't have [daughters name] to push around any more". Also think they're tape recording everything.

Nixon was awful. He was racist, misogynist, anti-semitic and homophobic. Just generally a horrifying excuse for a human being. The fact that he was, nominally, a Quaker is the most hilarious part of his biography. He belonged to a Friends church in Whittier, CA.

Also a war criminal. Still, I think the main thing that distinguishes Nixon is that the beginning of his story is a fairy impressively “by his own bootstraps” deal. He didn’t go off the rails until 1968. Whereas Trump is a piece of shit born and bred

Not to be a Nixon defender, but do they know that many of his policies would be considered very “woke” today? He supported & signed Title IX into law and purposefully tripled the number of women in policy-making positions within the federal govt. I’m guessing these Chads don’t know any of that.

Right! A few years ago I went with a friend to his presidential library and I was shocked to see all the liberal (by today's standards) policies he enacted. I doubt his current conservative fan boys have any idea about any of this stuff.

Nixon-maxing? That's a heck of a way to try to influence young people. Just claim they're doing something and hope peer pressure convinces them to do it. Except not a lot of young people are reading the The Wall Street Journal.
