Hmm, maybe he should have listened to the ltrl thousands of liberals who warned him that playing to conservatives was a devil's bargain; that they're all not-so-secretly anti-semites who only see him as plausible deniability until the moment theyre strong enough to attack jews openly.

Do you think he never actually realized that he, himself, is a grifter and that conservatism as both a philosophy and political movement is built around grifting? Like, he's not actually smart and savvy but a true believer and thus a victim of the grift?

reminds of this book tv interview i started listening to the other day, some right wing professor wrote a book about how it’s a great idea to have a dictator-president, conservatives just generally speaking are all insane, the only differences you find are how they present their fascist bullshit

I have heard of people who couldn't figure out the difference between him and Charlie Kirk when Kirk was killed, and honestly they are both the same level of low quality poorly compelling blather that they are generally indistinguishable.
