For a very short time i was mad at people like this, but posts like this just make me feel sad. The critical and personal parts of themself must be aching to be expressed and cared for, but they neglect that in favor of giving attention to a thoughtless algorithm.

Maybe im reading too much into it or trying to hard to sympathize with them. But I cannot comprehend how little curiousity or care for your own capabilities you must have to get to this point of relying on AI that much for your thoughts and activities, to the point of needing AI to use AI.

When demotivated or feeling unable to create: i check what other people are creating, imagining their process, how i can do something similar. Even when it wont motivate me, i still learn and grow my ability from it. AI images at that point would only make me sad im unable to create with that mood.

pro-tip, if you want to experience more music, writing, art and culture; Humans have been making all of that for thousands of years, publishing it for hundreds, online for a couple dozen now. we don't need it to be generated; there is plenty of it out there to experience already...

babies are finally getting tired of their shiny toys, may you never interact with the art/writing/songmaking community ever again and be shunned for the rest of your life🥰

This is so sad to me. Of course they feel bored of this. There's no artistic satisfaction in pressing the dopamine button over and over. And it probably killed their actual passion for music.

Assuming they had any in the first place. A majority of these people are not creatives or have a single creative bone in their bodies. It's just a toy for them to feel like they've actually made something but without actually having learned a real skill that would actually enrich their lives.

“Son, what you’re looking for is called a radio with a random play button. Just press that button and a song you’ve never heard before will start playing!” “But I want to make my own music!” <deep sigh>

What if there were an app that just had songs that you don’t have to prompt? And you could monetize it with a monthly fee that lets you skip songs, or even buy songs that you like and play them whenever. But where would the songs come from…?

whats even dumber is that this tech could potentially be the perfect thing for recommending new stuff by analyzing the actual contents of what you enjoy listening to and finding stuff that's similar.

I heard he hit a button I heard he chose a rhyme So I came to see him and listen for a time And there he was, this loser, this mediocre failson Clickin’ a link with his fingers Stealin’ your work with a smile Killing my faith in our species Killing it softly… with his slop

From a purely societal perspective, this is already a crisis. They're gaslighting themselves. Sometimes I see one of them post about not feeling a sense of pride or accomplishment and not understanding why. And they just don't get it, because they never learned the joy of actual creation.
