Oh my goodness, this Wall Street Journal piece about Trump's ailing health that includes an interview with him (gift link). There are a number of ridiculous details in it and I'll put a few of them in this thread. (1/6)

Trump admits to taking more aspirin than his docs recommend: “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?” What could possibly go wrong! (2/6)

This article summarizes it pretty well and lists the medications they say he's on, as well as the venous insufficiency he says is why his hands are bruised... bsky.app/profile/the-...
Trump speaks out about his health - and the doctor’s advice he’s ignoring
He does the weave. Friends of mine that are, like, geriatric psychologists, they say it's the saddest thing I've ever seen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrZX...
Please let Trump eat as much fast as he can consume. All the time if he wants. Trump clearly knows best. @aoc.bsky.social @whitehouse-47.bsky.social @chrislhayes.bsky.social
I’ve heard that people have issues with alcoholics or heavy smokers getting organ transplants and other expensive and difficult treatments while not making any effort to mitigate the issues causing their health problems. Should he receive great medical care to try to overcome his horrible self care?
I plugged Big Mac, Quarter Pounder (cheese removed), and Filet-o-Fish along with a small fries into the McDonald's nutrition tool, and this is what it gave me www.mcdonalds.com/us/en-us/abo...
This was less than he normally eats. He usually goes for the full 80’s commercial list, but he left the “icy Coke thick shakes, sundaes and apple pies” for his midnight tweeting frenzy. youtu.be/Dc-eNtAyH8k?...
I’m an anesthesiologist and start IV’s every day. The back of the hand is a first choice place for IVs for surgical and hospitalized. Antecubital (bend of the elbow) IVs tend to infiltrate and kink more due to patients bending their arms. IV infiltrates are also not as easily recognized with AC IVs.
